Clipping, or grinding nails to smooth & shorten, is important to be kept up on a regular basis. We like to grind the nails whenever possible. The nails are ground back to the quick resulting in significantly shorter nails with a smooth edge. Clipping alone does not accomplish this, the nails become very sharp when just clipped without using the dremel tool. We like to start by clipping the tip of the nail then filing with the cordless dremel tool to the start of the quick, we have found this to be the most effective way to keep your dogs nails properly trimmed, off the ground, and making it much easier for your dog to walk.
